Terms of Use (EULA)

1. Parties and acceptance

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are the agreement about your use of the Coffriend app between you and Tahsin Büyükşahin, the individual developer who builds and publishes Coffriend ("we"). Contact: info@perfexus.com. By ticking the box at sign-up you accept these Terms and the Community Guidelines and, if you buy something, the Subscription and Purchase Terms. How we process your data is in the Privacy Policy.

2. The Service

Coffriend helps adults in Istanbul who are free right now meet as friends in a public café; it is not a dating or paid companionship service. We are not a party to any meetup: we are not present and do not monitor meetups. Café data comes from OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL); we have no business relationship with cafés. The coffee guide is not health advice. Fictional profiles made for testing and store review are never shown to you.

3. Who can use Coffriend

You must be 18 or older and enter your real date of birth. One account per person; accounts cannot be transferred. Use a Turkish mobile number that is yours, your real first name and photos of yourself showing your face. If you were permanently removed you may not open a new account. Never share your verification code.

4. Your content

Your profile, photos and messages are yours and you are responsible for them. You give us a free, non-transferable permission, limited to the life of the Service, to store and show them within the Service, review them for safety and remove them if they break the rules. We never use your content in advertising.

5. Zero tolerance, reports and moderation

Coffriend has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users: harassment, hate speech, sexual content, threats, scams, commercial offers, fake profiles and any content involving minors are prohibited. The rules, the report and block tools, the 24-hour review time, the sanctions (content removal, warning, suspension, permanent removal), the no-show rule and appeals are in the Community Guidelines, which are part of these Terms. Texts and photos are checked automatically; the checks cannot catch everything. If you delete your account during a no-show suspension you cannot sign up again with the same number for 30 days. We change profile fields only to remove content that breaks the rules or to fix an error, never to write new content in your name; we tell you in the app when something on your profile was changed. A moderation decision is not a court decision.

6. Meetups and safety

Only you decide whether to go to a meetup; meeting someone you don't know carries risks no precaution removes completely. We do not verify users' identity or background. Meet only at the public café confirmed in the app, arrange your own transport, never share money or personal details, and leave as soon as you feel uncomfortable ("I can't come / I don't feel comfortable"). Coffriend is not an emergency service; in an emergency call 112.

7. Paid features

Basic use is free. Coffriend Plus and invite packs are governed by the Subscription and Purchase Terms.

8. Intellectual property and changes to the Service

Coffriend's name, logo and software belong to us or our licensors; we give you a limited, non-transferable, revocable licence for personal, non-commercial use. We may change the Service, pause it for maintenance or end it with at least 30 days' notice; your statutory rights and the store refund routes for paid benefits remain.

9. Limits of liability

1. The Service is provided "as is". We do not guarantee that a meetup will happen, that users' statements are true or that the Service will run without interruption.
2. We are not liable for the acts of other users, cafés or third parties, or for what happens at or after a meetup, unless we are at fault, nor for events beyond our reasonable control (disaster, widespread outage, failure of an infrastructure provider, an order of an authority).
3. We are not liable for indirect loss (such as lost profit or data) caused by our slight negligence. Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for Coffriend in the 12 months before the loss.
4. This section does not limit our liability for intent or gross negligence (Turkish Code of Obligations Art. 115), death or bodily injury, or unlawful violation of personality rights or personal data, or your rights under Law no. 6502.

You will cover justified third-party claims against us, and reasonable defence costs, caused by your culpable breach of these Terms or the law.

10. Termination

You can end the agreement at any time by deleting your account in Profile → Delete my account; this does not cancel a store subscription. We may suspend or close your account for a breach of these Terms or a serious risk to others' safety; where possible we show this in the app. Your statutory rights for unused paid benefits remain.

11. Apple and Google

If you downloaded the app from the App Store: these Terms are between you and us only, not Apple; we, not Apple, are responsible for the app, its maintenance and support, product liability, consumer and intellectual property claims. The licence is for use on Apple devices you own or control, in line with the App Store rules. If the app fails to conform to a warranty you may notify Apple, which will refund the purchase price if any; Apple has no other warranty obligation. You confirm that you are not in a country under a US embargo and not on a US list of prohibited parties, and you comply with applicable third-party terms (such as your mobile carrier's) when using the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. For Google Play transactions the Google Play Terms of Service also apply.

12. Changes

We announce a significant change in the app at least 15 days before it takes effect (a legal requirement or an urgent safety reason may need less time) and ask you to accept it before you continue. If you don't accept, you can delete your account. Changes never apply retroactively.

13. Law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Please write to info@perfexus.com first. As a consumer you can apply to the Consumer Arbitration Committee below the annual monetary threshold, and above it to the Consumer Court after mediation (Law no. 6502 Arts. 68, 73, 73/A).

14. Other terms

An invalid provision is replaced by the law and the rest stays valid. Not using a right does not waive it. If we transfer the Service we tell you in advance. These Terms, the Community Guidelines and the Subscription and Purchase Terms are the entire agreement.
